Inspire - Nurture - Flourish

A new school year!

Today we welcomed back all our children in Years 1 to 6 for a new school year and some children who are joining Belmont for the very first time.  We have children who have moved from Brazil, Canada, Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, and USA  and hope that they will quickly feel at home here in London.

We also welcomed three new class teachers who have joined our staff.  Miss Fifer in Oranges, Mr Bedford in Pears and Mr Grigg in Sycamore.

Our new Nursery and Reception classes have started their induction  week and we look forward to them becoming part of our school community..

We asked a few of the new pupils and teachers how they found Belmont in their first week:-

Massimo (Year 6) said that his first day went well, he made lots of friends and he preferred it here than in Italy.

Aleks (Year 6) said everyone was friendly and I now know all their names, I have now made a lot of friends. Coming here has helped and I like it at Belmont.

Mr Griggs (Year 5) said starting Belmont was exciting and scary all at the same time. To help get to know everyone's name we played "Get to know you" bingo which was great fun! The staff and students have been welcoming and have made me feel at home straight away.

Gabriel (Year 5) said I like it a lot and everyone is really friendly. I know my class really well already, my class has been really welcoming. It is better here than at my old school.

Mr Bedford (Year 1) said It has been very busy, but also a good start to Belmont. I'm getting to know my class, I'm still learning names.
