Come Dine With Me - end of term feast!

The cooking smells of garlic, bread, fajitas and bolognese to name but a few have wafted around the school these past few weeks at our weekly after school cookery club, Come Dine With Me! The children have had a chance to learn some practical cookery skills and recipes to try at home, including soup, spaghetti bolognese, fajitas, apple crumble and baked salmon. The term finished with a session at Christ Church where we invited the parents and staff to join us for a feast prepared by the children. The children decorated the hall and set the tables. They then welcomed their parents and waited on them, serving drinks and food. There were cheese twists and dips to start, a tomato and basil soup with cheesy bread rolls and to finish, a choice between a Victoria sponge or brownies, or both! It was a lovely event and the children did brilliantly! Thanks to Vicky and Lydia ( volunteer from Christ Church) who have helped run this club. Photos below!
