Hounslow Music Festival
"On Wednesday 25th June the Year 5 and 6 choir took part in the Hounslow Music Festival. The performance took place at Hammersmith town hall. The live performance started at about 7:00pm and ended at around 8:10pm. Fortunately the show was a great success; everyone was very organised and the show was beautifully presented.
It wasn’t just Belmont that took part, there were about 8-10 schools altogether, including us. Before the live performance we did a rehearsal and had some dinner. Everyone had brought their own packed dinner and drinks; we ate dinner at Ravenscourt Park where it was luckily sunny. I really enjoyed singing all the songs, but my favourites were: 'Where do we go from here', 'Armani Utupa', 'Musical World' and many others. At first I was feeling a tiny bit nervous even though I had done it in previous years; once you’re on stage singing its fine. At the performance, it wasn’t just the Hounslow schools singing, there was also a very talented band that played the music while we sang. The band had their own performance and played very famous songs, they played: Star Wars theme tune and many others.
At the end of the whole performance parents and audience members were cheering and clapping so much, which must have meant they enjoyed it as well as us enjoying it.
