Spring Concert

With over 80 children taking part in our junior and senior choirs and over 140 children taking music lessons each week, we have all been looking forward to the Spring Concert. Year 3 and 4 went first with a range of solos on the paino, flute, violin, drums, guitar, recorder and singing, followed by a fabulous performance by the junior choir. There was a rather special guest appearance from Ms Booth who joined the children, singing the part of Miss Honey from Matilda's 'When I grow up'.

Year 5 and 6 were next with more soloists playing the flute, clarinet, violin, oboe and piano. There were singers and some serious rocking out on the drums. The senior choir, again featuring Ms Booth closed the show in spectacular form.

Caitlin: I am in year 5 and I played the flute in the Spring Concert. I’ve played my flute since I was 5 which is for 5 years! I chose Allegretto because I think it was a really good piece. Also I like it because it’s unique in its own way. I do two methods of flute, ABRSM and Suzuki.

Thanks to the children who took part for all their hard work and hours of practice. Thanks also to the music teachers for their support, to parents for all their encouragement, Mrs Pocock for leading the choirs with such energy and to Ms Booth for organising the rather complex logistics and timings! A few pictures below and some video may follow!
