Y2 compete at Hounslow Sports Day
On the 10th February ten members of Damsons and Apricots Class competed in the Hounslow Year 2 Sports Day. It was a terrific day with a total of 600 participants from 45 schools. The races were for the first time to include all of the children in each race, rather than taking turns. Hounslow is the only London borough to run sports days like this where all schools compete against each other at one time. There was a wide variety of relay, rugby, obstacle, and hurdles races. “We love the relays” said Alex…”I really do” piped Jennifer. All had a marvelous day, and with great thanks to the Sports Impact organisers, who provided yet another seamless sports event without a hitch. Big thanks to Cassie, Adam's mum, Sam, Myel’s dad, for his help and support from Emily, Ellie’s mum, too!
