Y5/6 Cross Country Competition

On the 3rd of October a group of Y5 and 6 children took part in a cross-country competition against many other schools in Hounslow. There was a relay race where three athletes in a group ran 300m each and another relay of 600m. Finally there was a race of 1200m which was raced individually. We interviewed Anna (Y6) who came first in the girls’ 1200m race. She, Molly (Y5) and Grace (Y6) came 3rd in the 300 x 3 relay race which is mind-blowing. Everyone agreed that the atmosphere was friendly and packed. Some were confident and some were nervous but everybody had a great time. Hopefully we can do even better next time.
