Year 5 'World at War' Presentation

Having learnt a huge amount about the Second World War this term, Year 5 wrote and developed a presentation to parents which gave the perspectives of different people in wartime.  They incorporated scenes which showed what it was like to be away fighting,  to be a woman supporting the war effort at home, to be evacuated and to  experience rationing and blackouts. They read out some of their excellent writing including accounts of the evacuation of Dunkirk and the diaries of evacuees.  The action was linked with some great singing: . They showed us their Dunkirk boats and some lovely landscape watercolours. It was a very enjoyable and informative afternoon. Well done to Year 5 and their teachers for putting this together.
