Year 6 Trip to Twelfth Night

To get to the theatre we got the train there, changing twice. We than had to walk for 20 minuets to arrive there. We had an hour to play around and have lunch on a large grassy area. After exhausting ourselves out all of us walked into the theatre; there were lots of actors walking around talking to people. I walked up to the very top of the seats and sat down in the shade. Suddenly loud music burst through the speakers which I just realised I had sat right next to! Actors streamed onstage with musical instruments, dancing around. The show had a interval in the middle where we got the chance to stretch our legs for a while. When the show ended we walked out through the very busy crowds finding our way to the exit. We walked for a very long time to get to the train station, and then we finally got the train back. By Lili

On Tuesday 24th June 2014 Year 6 went to Regents Open Air Theatre to see a Shakespeare story dubbed as Twelfth Night. As we entered there were programs being sold for 50p but the program was only 2 pages!

We interviewed some people and here is what they said

Dougie: “It was a sick experience”

Rayyaan: “It was cool”

Dominic: It was a great play because the actors had brilliant expression.

Alfie: I think it was funny and suitable for children, it was a great take on Shakespeare’s story.

We would recommend this to every one of all ages because they change the old English language to normal modern English, but it is still a bit hard to understand.
