Y2 – St Thomas’s Hospital and Florence Nightingale Museum

Our Year 2 trip to the Florence Nightingale Museum was an unforgettable adventure! We enjoyed a short tour of
St Thomas’ Hospital, where we explored the hospital grounds and spotted the famous Florence Nightingale
statue. We also admired the inspiring statue of Mary Seacole, learning about her important contributions to
nursing. To top it all off, we sketched the beautiful London skyline, capturing the moment in our own creative
way.
We were excited to “meet” the legendary Florence Nightingale herself and learn all about her incredible life. We
became history detectives, taking part in a fun treasure hunt around the museum, searching for clues and
discovering fascinating facts along the way. We even had a chance to dress up. There were lots of brilliant
questions asked and even better answers.

Thank you to the generous PTA for covering the cost of this educational visit and to the parents for helping take
care of their groups.
