Year 3 had an exciting and enriching time during STEM Week, immersing themselves in a wide range of hands-on
activities. They challenged their thinking in a maths puzzle workshop, stepped inside a fascinating planetarium
experience, and explored the lives and achievements of famous mathematicians. The children demonstrated great
creativity and problem-solving skills as they constructed 3D shapes from nets and took on the role of engineers,
working collaboratively to build their own 3D Stonehenge.
A highlight of the week was presenting their own “Do Science With Me” projects, where the children confidently
shared their ideas and investigations. Throughout the week, Year 3 developed key skills across all areas of STEM –
science, technology, engineering, and mathematics – while showing enthusiasm, curiosity, and teamwork. It was a
fantastic week full of discovery, learning, and fun!
