Class Christmas Parties – Thursday 18th December

On Thursday 18th December, we are having our Christmas Parties. We have made a list of the things we need and you will find this on your Google Classroom strem so please sign up if you feel you can help with this. The food needs to come into school on the morning of the party. Please try and send this in with your children or hand it to the teacher at drop off (EY & KS1) rather than bringing it into the school office. If there are any questions please see class reps!

Thank you for your help.

Please check the food labels to ensure they do not contain nuts or sesame seeds.

Have you got your ticket yet?

  • School Uniform – please see our school uniform policy for reminders of what to wear. Please note smart watches are not allowed in school.

Word Aware

Our topic this term is ‘What did the Greeks do for us?’

The below list is part of an initiative called Word Aware that we are using in school. We thought it would be helpful to share this list with you so that you can use some of these words at home when discussing the topic. If your child speaks a different language at home, it would be helpful to discuss and translate these words using your home language. We may add to this list during the topic as new words are introduced.

Reading for Pleasure Book List

As part of our focus on reading in school, we would like to develop the lending library of books within each class. This will enable the children to foster a passion and love of reading at Belmont and ensure that they have access to high quality texts.

Please find links to two book lists that have a variety of we would love to have in class.

Once a book has been donated to the class we tick it off below.
