This noticeboard will be updated on Thursday afternoons to share homework and keep you updated with life in Year 6.

Please note, the following content will be taught in Year 6 next term. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher:

Relationships and Sex Education (RSE)Summer 2: Changing Me
Taught Knowledge:

Know how girls’ and boys’ bodies change during puberty and understand the importance of looking after themselves physically and emotionally

Know how a baby develops from conception through the nine months of pregnancy and how it is born

Know how being physically attracted to someone changes the nature of the relationship

Know the importance of self-esteem and what they can do to develop it

Know what they are looking forward to and what they are worried about when thinking about transition to secondary school/moving to their next class

Key Vocabulary: Negative body-talk, mental health, midwife, labour, opportunities, freedoms, attraction, relationship, love, sexting, transition, secondary, journey, worries, anxiety, excitement

Please note vocabulary from previous years will be consolidated.

09.07.26 – Y6 Show 6:30pm start

15.07.26 – Y6 Disco 4:30-6:00pm

17.07.26 – Y6 Leavers’ Assembly 9:30am
– School finishes at 1:30pm

 

 

Water Bottles  & Snacks

Please remember the children should have a healthy snack for morning playtime. 

Every child should bring a water bottle (with their name on it) to school each day so that they can hydrate regularly throughout the day.
