The School 's criteria for admission are set by the our Local Authority, the London Borough of Hounslow, in line with other community primary schools. Details of these criteria are available on the Hounslow Council website: www.hounslow.gov.uk/admissions. Brochures detailing arrangements for admission within Hounslow at both nursery and reception stages are made available in the autumn term both online and via school open days.
September 2020 admissions; Reception and Years 1-6
This School is a London Borough of Hounslow Community School and the Local Authority is responsible for allocating school places. Applications for Reception 2019 have now closed.
All admissions to the School for children of statutory school age, i.e. for places in our School's Reception classes and for older children seeking entry to the School, are handled by:
The London Borough of Hounslow School Admissions Team, Children’s and Adults' Services, Civic Centre, Lampton Road, Hounslow, TW3 4DN,
tel: 020 8583 2721.
The School has 60 reception places each year. The closing date for applications for September 2020 was in January 2020. Children may be admitted to other classes in the School depending on the availability of a place in the relevant year group. To find out if the School has any spaces, please contact the Hounslow School Admissions Team on 0208 583 2721. The School does not hold a waiting list for children wishing to attend when they reach school age.
September 2020 admissions: Nursery
Children born between 1st September 2017 and 31st August 2018 are eligible for a nursery place in September 2020. Applications to the Belmont Nursery open in January 2020. Our nursery has 52 places for 15 hours per week. Parents can apply for a nursery place directly to the School by completing an application form and returning it to the School Office. Forms can be requested from the Office or downloaded from the Hounslow Council website (address above) from January.
Where the number of children applying by the published closing date exceeds the number of places, applications are considered in the following order of priority:
1. Looked after or previously looked after children
2. Exceptional Medical and Social Need
4. Children of staff – children of any member of staff, regardless of role in the school where a) The member of staff has been employed at the school for two or more years at the time of application or b) The member of staff is recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage
Please note that from September 2019 we no longer have Priority Admission Areas (PAAs). Therefore applicants will all be considered under the distance criteria, regardless of where they live or which borough they live in.
We encourage visits during the teaching day so that prospective parents can see Belmont at work. Our open mornings and afternoons can be booked by sending an email to email@example.com with your name, address, mobile phone number, your child's name and date of birth.
