  • 'Belmont has always struck the right balance between academia and learning for life.'
  • 'A school that doesn't just excel at the academics but provides so much more, whether its music lessons and the lunchtime choir, or the 350 spaces in clubs each week, the football and netball teams or the shows that raise the roof of the top hall.'

Curriculum maps

The Belmont Curriculum incorporates the National Curriculum (2014) in all school years 1-6.

Our Nursery and Reception classes follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum which is organised into seven areas of learning.  These form the foundations for the subjects of the curriculum for older children.

Our Home School Partnership Evening, which takes place at the start of each academic year, gives parents the opportunity to find out more about the curriculum their child will be following that year.

Please click on the links below to access the curriculum maps for each term of the academic year.  There may be minor changes from year to year and updated curriculum maps will be uploaded at the start of the term as they are finalised.  Those below give indication of key themes, which will remain unchanged from last year.
