Music tuition, choir and band

All children have access to specialist music activities at Belmont as part of the curriculum as well as through extra- curricular activities.  For music activities within the curriculum, please follow the link.

We have a lunchtime choir for the junior classes and  the choir performs regularly to parents and within the local community, including performances with massed children's choirs and a local adult choir.

A large number of children learn an instrument at Belmont. We have a range of music teachers available through Hounslow Music Service and these lessons take place during the school day.  There is a cost for these lessons depending on whether it is a 1:1 or group lesson. Ten lessons take place over the length of the term and children can also take music grades when they are ready. Popular instruments include recorder, piano, violin, flute, clarinet, voice, drums and guitar.

Children who have reached Grade 1 level or above on their instrument (either within or outside school) are able to join the School Band which practises each week and performs at various events across the year.

Please contact the School Office if you are interested in arranging music tuition for your child.
