Canteen becomes a bike workshop!

Those of you who attended the children's carol service last term would have heard the children singing a song including the lyrics 'give freely of your talents and give freely of your time'......

That is exactly what an amazing group of people did when they gave up their Saturday morning just before Christmas to service the 24 bikes used by the Nursery and Reception children.

These bikes were mostly unusable due to missing parts, punctures and broken brakes.

Now, thanks to the efforts of Alice Shimmin, James Finding, Mike Pollitt, Martin Cook and Georgia Cook in Year 5, who did an especially great job, the bikes are serviced and ready to go.  Thank you so much to all of you. The children love riding the bikes and now they can do so again. The small amount of money we spent has been taken from BHSA funds, so there has also bee no cost to the school.

The BHSA would also like to thank Fudge's Bike shop who supplied us with discounted parts and fixed the three bikes, which were beyond our repair, at a cheap labour rate.
