Canteen re-opens after refurbishment

We were delighted today to reclaim the full space in the canteen building, and we have already begun to enjoy it!  Not only did we have more spacious accommodation for school dinners at lunch time, but Aftercare was able to relocate at the end of the day and make use of the ‘new’ large hall with the evening sunshine streaming through the windows.  At the same time the Early Years team were working hard to rebuild the ‘High Street’ role play area in the ground floor hall, ready for the Reception classes on Monday morning.

Both Breakfast Club and Aftercare will be operating from the canteen building from Monday.  Please, for the time being, drop off and pick up children for both via the main school gate.  We shall also be returning to our usual arrangements for lunchtime next week with children eating school dinners and packed lunches alongside their classmates in the refurbished dining areas.

We are very proud of the way all the children have adapted to the changes over the past few weeks and I am extremely grateful to the staff, especially the lunchtime staff and Nikki Bright and the Aftercare team, for ensuring everything has run smoothly.
