Chiswick Carol Singers

Our School Choir extended their tradition of carol singing in the community to a new venue this year.  We were invited to sing by the Sainsbury's Christmas tree to mark the festive season.  The manager came and joined us and a number of customers also joined in the more traditional carols.

It was a good thing the children were in such good voice as they had a busy afternoon!  They began in Sainsbury's and then sang to the residents of Clifton Gardens Care Home and finished up at Homecross House., where they were very grateful to be offered squash and biscuits!  During the course of the afternoon, the children collected money for the charity Education for All (see separate news item) and were delighted to raise £118.05 in total.  Thank you to all those who welcomed us and to those who gave so generously including a kind gentleman who popped in a packet of jelly babies for the choir to enjoy!

Thank you to Miss Todd for teaching the choir this term and harnessing all the children's enthusiasm for singing.
