'Governors' in school' day

Wednesday 1st February 2017 was the annual Governors’ day in school.

After starting the day with staff at our regular morning briefing, Governors joined in with a wide variety of lessons and activities throughout the day. In the morning they participated in Maths and English lessons, Guided Reading sessions and Phonics activities. They also joined the KS1 star writer assembly, KS2 singing assembly, ate lunch with the children and participated in a School Council meeting! The afternoon was equally as busy with Topic, P.E, Computing and ‘Philosophy for Children’ lessons.

It was an interesting, informative and fun day, and all of the Governors were very impressed with what they saw. Giving them a valuable insight in to what teaching and learning looks like at our school. Special mention must go to the children who were very welcoming, appeared happy and confident, and were impeccably behaved.
