Jeremy Strong visits Belmont

Jeremy Strong came to visit Belmont as part of Book Week. He talked to the children about his books and his characters. He told them how he planned his stories and where he worked, in his garden shed. He even showed them pictures of his desk and his cat, who likes to sleep on his desk. Before reading a chapter from one of his books, Jeremy shared a story that he wrote when he was about 6 or 7. You can see a copy of it below. The children pointed out all of the errors from the spelling mistakes and lack of punctuation, to the fact that Jason wouldn't have been able to fit through his own front door. However despite this, they loved the story and meeting the author who wrote so many of their favourite books. In fact he has written 103 books, with a new one out this summer from the "My brothers famous bottom' series.
