Nutcracker Christmas Fair

The Christmas fair was a fantastic event again this year with the theme of the Nutcracker. After Santa opened the fair at 11.00am, the choir performed a medley of Christmas songs. There was then a professional pianist who contributed to the Christmas spirit, resulting in a lunchtime singalong! Parents, carers and children worked hard before the fair and on the day to make sure their stalls were set up and well prepared. Daniella and Ramona and their team transformed the school yet again with giant candy canes and sledges above the doors filled with presents. Santa's Grotto was a sell out and everyone enjoyed the karate display later in the afternoon. Thanks to the BHSA Committee, and class reps for co-ordinating activities for their stalls and to the many parents who came on the day to help out and support the fair. It is always a reminder of how our community comes together to deliver a great event, whilst taking the chance to catch up with friends. It's also a chance for the children who have left to pop back in and visit and it was fun to see our Year 7's return! Finally and most importantly, a big thank you to Alison Lakey for taking on the running of the fair at short notice and making it such a success. Final monies and expenses are being checked but it looks like close to £12,000 has been raised.
