Poptastic: Year 6 Show

On Wednesday and Thursday this week, Year 6 delivered a show to rival all, and that is saying something for the children who starred in Peace Child in Year 3, the Emerald Crown in Year 4 and Edith's Wartime Scrapbook in Year 5.

Known for their love of singing, a show was picked and adapted to bring out the best in them. The story centred on Charlie, who wanted to be a pop star. Luckily her school was picked to feature on StarMaker and whilst Charlie's band weren't inititially chosen, with the help of Pop and Tastic (Rock Gurus from yesteryear) Charlie had a hit song. As she experienced over night success, she became Babs Shapiro, megastar. However it all begins to unravel, but Charlie is saved by her friends. And Pop and Tastic turn up again .....

Year 6 were fantastic, as they sang their hearts out, acted brilliantly and brought out the comedy of the show. They looked amazing and there was a significant amount of backcombing, crimping, spraying and make up going on before the show. And it wasnt just the girls!

Well done year 6! We loved all the songs, but the one at the end about friendship, moving on and staying in touch was particularly poignant - sob!
