Summer Art Exhibition

The 2016 exhibition showcased 3-D artwork from right across the School from sunflowers made by children in Nursery to wire and clay pots created by Year 6.  These pieces were beautifully displayed by Miss Thompson alongside preparatory sketches, paintings, marbling, batik and prints.  Each year group's artwork related to topic themes they had focused on during the year such as Year 2's 'I love London' pieces and Year 3's stone age inspired shelters and jewellery. It was clear that from the youngest children at Belmont to the oldest, everyone had taken great pride in their art and carefully applied the skills they had been taught leading to a very high standard of work.  Colour mixing and clay techniques are taught to all children and it was lovely to see the development and progression in these skills as children move through the School.

The exhibition was on display during the summer fair and received many visitors both parents and friends.  If you missed it we hope that these photographs will give you a flavour of what was on show.
