Y5 trip to the British Museum

On the 13th May 2015, Year 5 went to the British Museum. My favourite part of the trip was when we went to the theatre and Miss Hamilton had to dress up as a scribe and took a test to see if she would make it to the after life. I learnt that a body (or mummy) would be preserved better in sand rather than a tomb because of the heat.  By Cicely

Our trip to the British Museum was extremely fun and there are lots of things I enjoyed. In a workshop, we learnt a lot of facts about the after life and hundreds of gods. There were amazing exhibitions with millions of artefacts - amulets, real mummies and gold. My favourite part was sketching decorated coffins and watching Miss Hamilton be a scribe! By Mehr
