Y6 Barton Hall PGL - Day Four
Today has been our last full day of activities, and what a brilliant day we’ve had! Four groups began the day on the water, having lots of fun paddling canoes out on the lake. After playing a few games, including ‘food tag’, the session ended with a series of challenges which lead to ‘Abandon ship!’ ... which of course involved jumping out of their boats and getting wet for the second day in a row! Others used their teamwork, knot tying and design skills to create a buggy from plastic barrels, rope and logs, and then raced them against each other. Further activities include passport to the world which is a treasure hunt for flags around the centre and finding out more about them (lots of exercise involved!) and orienteering which involved finding hidden ‘stamps’ around the site. All in all another great day creating wonderful memories! Quote of the day: “This is the best holiday ever, can we stay for another month!”
