Year 5 trip to HMS Belfast
As part of their WW2 topic, Year 5 visited the war ship, HMS Belfast. The children had the opportunity to climb on board the war ship and explored everything from the galley, decks and even ventured into the depths of the engine and boiler rooms. The children also had the opportunity to meet three veterans who spoke about their experiences of life aboard the ship. Sleepy heads filled the coach on the way home, as the children were so tired from climbing all the ship's ladders!
