Year 6 get splurged!

Oak and Hawthorn entertained their families, friends, teachers and fellow pupils with a wonderful Year 6 show this week culminating in last night's final performance. What a lot of hard work had gone in to make sure that the many lines were learnt, complicated choreography was mastered, singing was by turns rousing, heart-warming and tear-jerking and the whole production buzzed with energy and fun. There was an impressive array of solos, duets and group singing; one liners were delivered with great comic timing and the actors had the confidence to improvise when props or costumes behaved in an unexpected fashion!  Everyone rose to the occasion and the audience loved it.  We are immensely proud of them all.

We are very grateful to the wonderful team of parents who sourced, made and fitted costumes, painted the set and scenery, fixed hair and make-up, filmed the production and provided refreshments for the evening.  Too many to list! Thank you to you all.

A huge thank you to Mrs Fanshawe and Ms Beatty for producing such a wonderful show, ably supported by Ms Webb, Mrs Bridges and Mrs Boyadjian.  Mr Fanshawe once again created wonderful props and there was enough 'ammunition' left over from arming the splurge guns for the last night to ensure that the teachers got a turn at splurging too!
