Inspire - Nurture - Flourish

BELMONT'S WRAP-AROUND CARE

The Hive is Belmont's before and after school club which is available every day for all children from Reception to Year 6.  The scheme provides a safe and fun, nurturing environment for children and is based in our canteen building.

Children can come regularly, or as drop-ins and may start from their first day in reception. Reception children will be given a key worker to settle them in to the scheme.

Breakfast Club:         7.45am until school starts, every morning

£4.75 per session (drop-ins) or £4 per session if booked and paid at the start of each term.

For breakfast each day there is a choice of porridge, cereals, toast and fresh fruit, with juice. Organic milk is provided for cereals.

Children are taken to join their classes in the morning at the start of the school day.

After School:         3.15pm to 6.00pm every day

£8.75 per session (drop -in) or £8 per session if booked and paid at the start of each term.

At The Hive after school,  the children enjoy a light 'tea', the menu for which is up in the canteen for parents to see. Examples include a slice of pizza and a small cookie, or crackers, cheese and crudités.

The class teacher takes children over to The Hive at the end of the school day. Children can also go from clubs to The Hive and the team are given registers of children attending clubs.

There are a huge range of activities available with a library corner, lots of board games, drawing, colouring and other crafts, Lego and lots of toys.  In good weather the children play outside using the play equipment and wilderness area and sometimes have a sports coach to run special sessions for them.

Here our children are enjoying making St George's Day cupcakes! They loved cutting and placing the icing, and then eating their cupcakes while colouring in some St George shields.

We run regular special events in aftercare such as author visits and book signings, dance workshops and special party nights. Here is local author and Belmont alumna Zoe Antoniades provided an amazing creative writing workshop and story-telling session.
